Technology products that will disappear in the next

  1. 1. TECHNOLOGY PRODUCTS THAT WILL DISAPPEAR IN THE NEXT FIVE YEARS
  2. 2. With the speed of innovation in the tech industry, we can’t know every piece of technology that will fill our everyday lives in five years, but we can predict what won't last. As smartphones begin to render low-end cameras obsolete and Netflix continues to upend the DVD and Blu-ray market, it’s clear the technology landscape will look dramatically different in the near future.
  3. 3. Five Technology Products That Will Disappear in the Next Five Years  #1. BLUE RAY PLAYERS.  #2. LOW END DIGITAL CAMERAS.  #3. CAR KEYS.  #4. GPS.  #5. DIAL-UP INTERNET.
  4. 4. #1. Blue Ray : Ray players
  5. 5. Blue Ray : Ray players have been threatened to see less use as video streaming has become easy and accessible thru Netflix, ITune movies, and other movie providers. More people are renting on line from video provider streaming to their TVs or computers. The Blu-ray players will see less use and sales will decline.
  6. 6. #2. Low End Digital cameras
  7. 7. The advent of Android smart phones with higher quality built in cameras and the picture quality of the iPhone 4 have more users opting to use their phone rather than cameras to capture memories. This has prompted Cannon and Nikon aiming to reduce the manufacture of low end cameras and focusing on the mid and high end markets.
  8. 8. #3. Car Keys
  9. 9. Many of the newer model cars come equip with smart keys, key-less entry and push button start. We also have drive profiles and remote starters made available through our smart phones. These phones have applications that allow the user to start their cars remotely. The smart phone application market like On Star Remote Link may well be the energy that starts our cars in the future. This does not prevent people from locking themselves out of their cars when they leave the car with the engine running and close the door. The end of car keys is imminent in five years.
  10. 10. #4. GPS
  11. 11. GPS: Stand alone GPS systems as we have known them in the past will move into history as the newer of cars models come with built in systems. The productions and sale of these gadgets have been steadily declining since the advent of Android and smart phones which come with mapping software. Boating and out door activities may still continue to use these stand alone devices. As battery capacity improves the need for portable GPS devices will decline.
  12. 12. #5. Dial-up Internet
  13. 13. Many areas in the country are still on dial-up but that will change in the next 5 years, thanks to the Federal Connect Fund that has a goal of bringing internet service of some kind through cable, and satellite to the 7 percent to Americans who are still without service, . This means that dial-up internet will disappear in five years
